Bottle from Drinkshop. Almost clear amber-brown colour. Aroma strong smoky, smoked ham, traditional beechwood smoke. Strong initial caramelly sweetness with light heavy smoked ham, also moderate hoppy bitterness with subtle background noble hops flavours. Also intense beech smoke. Classic. Balanced and drinkable. Excellent.

Mørk brun klar med lavt beige skum. Lukter røkt skinke og noe røde bær. Også røkt i smak. Medium sødme, karamell. Middels lang. (Grûnerløkka mat- og mikrobryggerifestival).

Bottle: Poured a caramel amber color with a thin tan head. Aroma was smokey and burnt. Taste was a mix of smoke, bacon, wood, and malts. Very pleasant and well done!

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines, thanks to AshtonMcCobb. Pours hazy red-brown with a small, but long-lasting off-white head. Aromas of Austrian cheese, smoked sausage, ham Bit too cheesy. Taste is liquid smoke, bonfires and smoky bacon. Damp campfire logs. Smoky finish. Interesting.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - a lovely red beer with a slight haze. Decent head. Nose - smoked cheese. Light burnt note too. Taste -.bonfire, literally burnt wood. Palate - medium bodied with a dry texture that follows through the finish. Overall - it is a bit like drinking the liquid version of a burning log.

Spek, koffie, ... Zware smaken in het begin, naar het einde wat minder maar dat spek en die koffie blijven wel lang in de mond hangen

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Joes. Very nice dark red color, small off-white head. Smell and taste both have a lot of smoke, leather, sweetish, a hint of caramel. Suitable body and carbonation, but not my kind of beer. Too much smoke for me.
