Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 26 05 16, large sample. Dark brown color, big rocky brown head. Aroma of huge cocos, liquid bounty, milk chocolat, flowery, bit wood, bit funky. Taste has become a bit sour Im afraid, funky, coconut, bit coffee bitterness, lactic. Wonder if this was intended

33cl bottle. Thanks Maakun! The beer pours almost black with a thin brown head. Aroma has strong coconut notes, cold coffee, roasted malt, some star anise. Flavor has coconut, milky sweetness, mild spicy notes. Overdose of coconut but I seem to like it. High carbonation. Pleasant finish, dry, toasted coconut.

Thnx to dad ! Pours black, big, bit darker head. Smell is sweet ( coconut ) and roasted malts. Taste is sharp bitter, with a big hit of coconut in your tastebuds ! too sweet, and too extreme on the coconut. the coffee is hidden , but helps the bitterness. OK body, but high carbo. It’s a beer with a certain thing to it. I can see why people would love it, but its just too unbalanced for me. After a few sips i really started to hate it though. The coconut is far to prominent and just not Nice at all.

Dark pour, visible carbonation that generates a quickly dissipating foam. Huge coconut smell - it’s all you can feel when you smell, aside from a very slight hint of Brett. The taste is also dominated by coconut, although it’s not as sweet as the smell would suggest. Some coffee is present in the taste, but not a lot. There’s also a hint of Brett, or else my senses are going crazy. Overall, it could do with a little less carbonation to make for a better mouth-feel, but since this is a porter, I’m not going to hold that against it.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks rayaron. Black with a huge tan head. Aroma full of coconut candy, and some roast, a bit sourish. Sweet and slightly sourish flavor with roast, lots of coconut candy, and some fruitiness. Medium-bodied.

0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, best before May 2016. Heavy Gusher! Hazy, very dark red to black with a massive, creamy, slowly diminishing, brown head. Roasty, malty aroma of dry coconut, coffee, dark chocolate and ripe cherries. Sweetish, roasty-malty taste of coffee, dry coconut, dark chocolate and ripe cherries, followed by a slightly bitter, roasty finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Well obviously, that heavy gushing was quite annoying, but the beer is nevertheless quite good. Still, although I like coconut, the taste of it is a bit overwhelming and the coffee is also rather prominent. The fruity notes keep it almost in balance though.
