Aroma of coconut, vanilla, milk chocolate, coffee, caramel, roasted malts, hoppy notes . Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate bitter finish. I’m not the world’s biggest fan of coconuts and sweet beers, so imagine my surprise when I found this quite tasty. It’s like drinking a Bounty. A fun experiment.

Tap at Noord-Hollandse Bierfestival, Alkmaar: Very black colored brew with an sweet bitter taste, hints of coffee, chocolate and ofcourse coconut. Like an fluid Bounty candy bar, the red one i mean.

Bottle. Almost black. Chocolate, laurel, Tia Maria and cocos in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty flavor with cocos, Bounty pure and Tia Maria. Sticky sweet.

Bottle split at CBC Covent Garden, thanks to Froge, 20/11/18. Light black with a solid tan head. Nose is charr, chocolate, spice, hint of coffee, tangy berry notes. Taste comprises sweet malts, earthy cococa rub, toffee fudge, burnt toffee, mellow roast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent porter.

Craft TCR Bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Reasonable dark chocolate in the smooth mellow dark malts. Touch of cheap candy chocolate. Trace of tangy chocolate on the semi dry finish. Pleasant.

Bottle shared at craft beer Co Covent Garden. 20/11/2018. A clear nut brown coloured pour with a loose tan head. Aroma is sweet oily coconut. Sun tan lotion brown sugars.. Flavour is composed oily. Coconut, brown sugars. Little banana, bannaaoffee.. Palate is semi sweet, oily. Moderate carbonation.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Fergus. Pours clear brown with a creamy khaki head. Nicely balanced, lots of restrained chocolate, low ash, earth. Medium bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more rounded chocolate, light roast. Very decent.

Aus der Flasche (aus 2015) am 2016-11 getrunken. Boaarr! Eine Kokus-Kaffee-Bombe in der Nase. Geil! Am Gaumen deutlich verhaltener aber sehr schön und ausgewogen. Wäre es durch ein höheren Alkohol dichter wirken dann hätte man dies auch gern als Dessert gelöffelt.
