33 cl bottle (9.5%!). Golden hazy color. Huge, almost white head, very creamy. Aroma’s malty & caramel sweet, a little bit citrus and a little bit smoke (?). Flavor is rather sweet. Body is fuller than expected given the huge carbonation. Finishes with some caramel and mild bitterness. On the sweet side but ok.

This beer smelled, like benzai says, a little bit like sambuca and liquorish. Think it’s called anice. Taste isn’t affected that much by it though.

bottle, 9.5% on the label, with thanks to Bierkoning. Is it the light or dark version? I don’t know. Deep amber-orange colour, large beige head. Highly carbonated, spicy hops dominate, slightly citrusy. Good.

Bottle at ’t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. 9.5% bottle. End of a long evening (ie truncated notes). Hazy brown beer, good creamy pale tan head. Light frothy palate. Notably sweet and fruity Tripel that slipped down easily.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma has notes of citrus and lighter notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and spices - especially cardemomme and cloves, but also lighter notes of coriander, leading to a dry spicy finish.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruits, yeast, some nuttyness and mild notes of herbs. Flavour is fruits, hops, some spices and yeast. Bigtime tropical fruity/nectary finish and aftertaste.

Bottled (BB 12/2009). Thanks bierkoning. Hazy yellow color, small white head. Peppery, alcoholic aroma. Very spicey tripel. Citrusy aftertaste. Some underlying sweetness. Lots of spices in this yeasty tripel. A bit dusty yeastyness.

Bottle, 9%. Spicy aroma, malt and black pepper. Muddy amber colour. Small tan head. The flavour is poweful, there is some sweet malt, distinct pepper/alcohol notes. OK sweetness. The bitterness in the finish is slightly rough, quite tannic.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of MiP/yespr. Pours a hazy orangey golden with a dense, lively off-white head. Spicy aroma, yeasty and perhaps some coriander.. Quite full-bodied with a solid malt base, yeast and an almost herbal spicing. Astringent and bitter finish. 291108

Bottle at St Albans BF 2007. Hazy gold, lasting beige head. Little bit sickly sweet, good banana estery aroma. Some good tangerine later on. Decent hop. Thanks to Beersensei for this one.
