Quite hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall pure white head that fades quite quickly to just about nothing on top. Aroma of tropical fruits, resin, grass, hay and a good dose of flowers and some yeastie funk as well. Medium-bodied throughout; Strong grassy and very floral bite at first that shows a ton of hay and some medicinal and astringent hoppy and alcohol flavours towards the end with a dash of grain and flowers towards the end with a noticeable sweetness as well from the fruits. Aftertaste shows some bitter hops with a big floral component and a dash of the grassier and dry hay like flavours, but the astringent and more pungent alcohol comes through as well. Overall, a good enough, almost Imperial-ish IPA that shows decently well, but compared to a good American Imperial IPA, people would laugh at this and especially the price tag. I'm happy I don't have to contend with these prices - the beer here is a bit too rich for my blood. I sampled this 500 mL can purchased from Australia Wine Supply here on Pitt Street in Sydney (CBD), New South Wales, Australia on 12-August-2019 for AU$12,00 sampled here in my hotel room in Sydney, NSW, Australia on 15-August-2019.

Lots of hype surrounding this beer, sold out at Lugarno Cellars the day it arrived, guys at my work couldn't buy it anywhere, limited release for a limited time, etc., etc. Then suddenly.....it reappears. Into a pint glass. Well, it looks a treat. Shiny golden beer with medium fine bubbles and a large white fluffy head. Nose is fruit salad with pine needles. Viscous mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Taste is bitter, finish is earthy and dry with late pepper and warming alcohol. A bit unbalanced, the fruit in the aroma doesn't really appear in the taste. It's good but not great.

500ml can. Pours slightly hazy orange gold. Grapefruit, pine, orange, caramel, floral, slight peppery booze. Decent body. Nice enough.

Can, around 10C. Deep gold with a near inch of white head. 3+ Aroma is seething rather than vibrant, with kumquats and tropical fruit (mango skin, passionfruit, grilled pineapple) some low key spice and ganja notes. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Lacks much in the way of presence - the fruity aromatics are there but fall away a fair bit because they don't sit on much, not even neutral sweetness. But it is clean and the fruity hops resolve into a dryish bitterness that's not harsh or more than just a little solventy. This is OK but doesn't offer enough for its alcohol content/ show the hop aromatics need such a strong beer to shine. Reading the description it's like they think there's only one trap.

From a 500ml can on 11/3/2018 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a clear medium golden with a medium to big head. The nose is primarily tropical fruit. Very sweet and fruity in the mouth - lots of passionfruit and pineapple, with not much malt, but the sweetness is countered by quite a sharp, citric, dry hop bitterness, with a slightly chemical aftertaste. Comes across as quite boozy - perhaps bigger than the 8.6% it is. Has a syrupy texture with moderate carbonation. Decent, but no world beater.
