Pot on tap at The Catfish, Fitzroy. Amber beer with a thin white head. High carbonation. Grassy, herbal, earthy nose, a touch of malt. Good lacing. Full bodied and viscous, sharp carbonation. Cleansing then there's a grassy herbal finish with late liquorice and mint. It's a great, complex beer. One to sip and contemplate.

Bottle. Amber with a small white head. Brooding, resinous aroma with kumquats, pine, stocky bread crust, dried mango skin. Full bodied, getting on to oily but not sticky. Carbonation is fairly low and about perfect for me. Only moderately sweet with a lovely finish where the sweetness vanishes rather than is pinched by dryness or overcome by bitterness. Clean with bitter citrus and bread crust, some pine, pepper and tropical fruit. The hops are not terribly fancy and the malt is plain but the balance is good and the finish is excellent. Not gross, man.
