Bottle at Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2014: Hazy brown coloured brew with an annoying sour taste, some hints of coffee and chocolate. Maybe an bad brew.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een troebel oranje bruin bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige wat kruidige en hoppige geur. De smaak is moutig, caramel, kruiden en drop.

2012 bottle. Dark brown color. Pear drups and caramel in the aroma. Caramelly sweet flavor with hints of roast and pear drups. Slightly alcoholic.

Thank you for sharing people! Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Super murky brown with little tanned head. Nose is big weird murky yeast, spoiled sugary, moldy yeast. Taste is overly odd spoiled banana, excessive spoiled yeast, murky bathroom rug. Hugely overly yeasty body. Mmmm…. this could have maybe been mediocre without the excessive yeast.

From bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda 2016. Very hazy, light brown with a thin, frothy, tan head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, brown sugar and nuts. Sweetish-malty, slightly sourish taste of caramel, brown sugar and nuts, followed by a short, slightly bitter, sourish finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Weird!

Bottle sampled at PINT Winterbier festival Gouda 2016. Amber/light brown with creme head. Citrus, orange. Sweet/sour. Body in between light and medium. Very dry.

Bottler sampled at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Murky brown with lots of yeast and a beige head. Looks pretty bad. Sour red berries, hay, caramel, sour grapes, light leaves. Under medium sweet and sour. Medium bodied. Just no.

Dark brown and hazy. Flavour seems to be dominated by a kind of artificial fruit syrup. Overall it’s very sweet!
