Een zinnenstrelend Egmonds winterbier. De rijke geur heeft zowel fruitige als kruidige kenmerken. De volle moutige caramelsmaak met een frisse toets van lindebloesem maakt van Pastorale een hartverwarmend bier. 8,1% vol.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, large sample. Slight hazy copper color, short head. Aroma of licorice, spicy, caramel, hint of roast. Quite sweet in taste. Spicy and sweet, not my kind of beer.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Apparently this is the only abbey beer from NL (not a certified one I believe). Dark brown with a reddish hue, little head. Nose is heavy on sweet malts, thick herbs, caramel goo, warming & faintly vineous. Taste is thick on sweet liquorish, candy sugar, malts, faint vinous & warming quality, touch anis, lots of brown sugar, light fruity. Tick & malty body with less carb. Nothing wrong with this one.
