(Cask) Clear amber brown with big off-white head. Subtle pleasant aroma of toffee, tea, and citrus. Lovely smooth medium body. Good taste with toffee malt. Notes of orange at the start and tea at the end. Very quaffable.

Cask at Keg & Brew. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bread and wet grain with a bit of light sweet fruit underlying. Flavor combines light sweet fruits and bread with a bit of musty grain backing.

ESB, surely. Cask. Probably the first beer I’ve been served too warm in Australia: 10-12 is fine, this was more like 14C. Clear copper with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, toast, Seville oranges. Light bodied, swiggable. Not quite flat, but made me think I wish I’d been a here a couple of days ago. Bready with some toast, citrus hops and some earthy and spicy notes towards an end that I wished slightly more bitter. Convincing.

Hand pull at the brewery. Light hop nose. Bronze beer with solid white head. Flat and malty. Finish is a little flawed but solid bitter otherwise.

Pours a clear coppery amber colour with a small loose off white head. Caramel, malty, nutty aroma. Sweet malt and caramel with a surprising fruity taste. Pleasant light dry bitter finish.

Cask hand pull at the ledger building Jdw. A clear amber copper coloured pour with a a lasting sticky off white head. Aroma is sweet nutty twiggy malts, dried fruits, figs. Flavour is composed of semi sweet toasted malts, twig, woody bark, grassy hop in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, decent cask condition to drying mineral in the finish. Nice premium bitter.

Hazy dark amber, thin head. Fruity, earthy hops and a bit juicy. Caramel, quite fruity, very English.
