Candy sugar aroma, malty, just a bit vegetable-like. In the flavor a vegetable-like and yeasty bitterness tries to push away the sugary sweetness of the beer. Tastes a bit like an amateur brew. Luckily the alcohol wins from the first signs of an upcoming infection. Licorice is clearly present. Drinkable but, as I said, amateuristic.

Bottle shared at chriso’s. Pours clear, amber-brown with a creamy light tan head. The nose holds ripe cherries, figs, plums. Light-medium sweet flavor with some metal twang, more ripe berries, plums, some ripe citrus. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary semi-dark fruit finish with some bready malts, tangy fruits. So so.

Bottle at Casper is back tasting. Dark brown clear its ok . Some chocolate. Inoffensive.

33cl bottle from Speciaalbier, Leiden. Thick creamy off white head. Deep amber pour. A nice winter beer. A little sweet.

Bottle sampled at Gouda Winterbier Festival. Dark brown, small tan. Aroma of gravy, overripe dark fruits and caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with sof carbonation.

Sampled @ PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda 2013. Clear brown color, medium sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, a light sour hint, some dark fruits and some nuts. Low to medium body and carbonaiton.

Aroma has some licorice, spices, brown sugar and sweetish malt. Flavour is somewhat messy and strong on licorice. Also some brown sugar, Belgian yeast and sweet malt. The licorice is nice here, but this is way too sweet for me.

Bottled@Tuulensuu, Tampere. Deep ambery brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is fruits, mild spices, some caramel as well as some slight alcoholic sweetness. Flavour is being quite much the same. Also some spices and mild raisins in the aftertaste.

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as a light note of oxidation. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, oxidation, and caramel.
