Pint at the Lord Nelson Hotel, Sydney at 5.4%. Poured a hazy medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, toffee, light herbal, biscuit, earthy, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

5/11/2022. Draught at Lord Nelson Hotel, The Rocks, Sydney. 5.4% abv. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, caramel, orange, biscuit, light spicey piney notes. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Best of the 5 that I tried here today.

On tap at source. Allspice nose. Strong malt backbone. Enough hops push through to elevate.

Bottle, 5.4% ABV. Consumed on one leg, naturally. Amber with a large off-white head that collapses. Smells very English - bread crust, mild citrus, pine needles, peach. Firm bread with shiny crusts, more berries than peach with a fine dry and moderately bitter finish. I liked this a lot.

500ml bottle into shaker. 5.4%. Listening to ’Station to Station’ as Bowie remembrance. Caramel, bitter fruit nose. Slightly hazy golden/bronze beer with solid white head. Steady fine carbonation. ’Golden years’,indeed! Surprisingly flat mouthfeel with subtle pine and grapefruit finish that lingers a while. Great beer, brilliant music.

(Bottle - says 5.4% ABV, 45 IBU). Slightly hazy amber brown with big persistent light tan head. Pleasant distinctive aroma; mainly pine, but with citrus notes and caramel hints. Medium bodied with plenty of carbonation, maybe a shade too much. Taste is hops all the way, although not in an overwhelming way, just the flavour is hop driven from nice herbal and spicey notes at the start to some decent hoppy bitterness in the finish. In the mid palate there’s some balancing caramel toffee. Nice hop driven pale ale.

Draught (middy) at Buckley’s in Sydney on October 14, 2015.Hazy golden color, off-white to yellow head. Hoppy, citrus, fruity, fresh taste. Citrus, a bit bitter aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, sort of high CO2, medium bitterness. Citrus hoppy scent. Really well balanced, highly drinkable!
