Can from Carwyn Cellars. Pours slight unclear deep amber with beige foam. Aroma: smoked malt, smoked ham, caramel, umami. Taste: super clean, light to moderate sweet & moderate bitter, decent layered smoky vibes, nicely balanced. Medium body with soft carbonation. Very nice indeed.

Pours deep amber with a large lasting head.Nose shows smoked malt, bacon-esque, soft bready malt with a hint of caramel.Flavours include more smoked malt, a bit of gentle sweetness, some bready malt, a bit of a toasty melanoidin note. Soft spicy hops also. Moreish.

Four smoked malts - beech, cherry, mesquite, peat.
Hazy and pale tan. Thin head. Holy smokes that’s a badass smoke nose. Rich, rich sugary and with layered smoke, like the best barbeque, so much complexity and meaty umami. I may be a smoke whore but this hits all the right notes.

Bottle. Lovely clear bronze with an off white head that soon retreats to the rim. Aroma of rich toffee and smoke is straightforward and good. Lowish carbonation - wouldn’t have minded just a tad more. Sweet with gentle bitterness. Woody rather than hammy smoke. Would’ve like a little of a deeper bottom layer in the malts. Nowhere to hide with this sort of thing and it’s pretty convincing.
