Dark beer, almost black with creamy and brown foam. Rich and powerful beer with a very long after-taste. Very complex and still soft aroma. The high level of alcohol is very subtlety hidden. It is prepared with strongly roasted malt which gives its very special taste.

Pretty nice stuff actually. Cloudy brown pour with great head and lacing. Floral potpourri and some light citrus and clove. Light sweet fungal finish. Tap at brasserie beck.

Bottle(@Alles Gärbar): Deep ruby-amber coloured, stable creamy off-white head; moderate to solid sweet fruity(dried fruits) and caramelly nose with a mild acidity (liqourice?) in the background; pretty solid sweet and slightly sourish and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied; lingering fruity and caramelly finish. Decent, maybe a tad too sweet…

On tap @Mad for Beer (Rome). Pours deep brown/mahogany with a medium and persistent off-white head. Aroma of yeasts, caramel, orange zest, raisins, fantastic! Flavour is medium to heavy sweet with a bitter end with sourish notes. Full body, medium to light carbonation. A great winter beer!
