Bottle given to me as a Christmas gift a while back. Poured amber with quite a large off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, bread/yeast, and hop. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium bodied, texture a bit oily, average carbonation.

Bottle. Clear amber with a coat of off-white head. Aroma of boiled sweets, pears, light spices. Rather lifeless. Bittersweet with toffee, some vague fruit, a touch of blood. Dully bitter and a little spicy at the end. Just about OK.

Coppery amber pour, small but persistent head.Lots of caramel and toffee aromas, with resinous, earthy hops in the background. Some grainy notes bring it down though.Very similar flavours, with lots of caramel malt, some grainy notes, resinous hops and a mild but lasting bitterness.Carbonation is too high.

Re-enter old rating that disappeared mysteriously: Had this beer in a pub just outside Glasgow Queen Street Station - I think it was cask, but might have been keg. Colour was fairly dark for a bitter, brownish. Aroma had indeed notes of "old fart" (sulphur), but the flavour was fairly malty and quite pleasant. The name probably alludes to the target group for this beer (old farts), a group I am now proud to be part of!

Clean amber color, head is not persistent. Light veggie smell of malt and caramel. Medium body, some malt, loads of caramel, nutty. Quite bitter finish. Boring.

500ml bottle. Chestnut colour with thick lasting beige head. Good toffee malt and earthy hop aroma. Flavours have some syrup in the mouth. Brown sugar as well which I guess leads to the boiled flavours. Finish has brown sugar and some dark choc malts with some faint hop

The aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel. The color is an unclear amber and it has a small head. The flavor is weird, sweet, bitter, caramel, and sour berries. Not a favorite of mine.
