Pint on tap at Basement Brewhouse, Bankstown. Pale brown beer with thin white head. Carbonation is low and slow. Light body, slight fizz. Nice malt profile which becomes sweeter in the finish. Let it warm a bit and it becomes more balanced with hop notes. Nice bitter.

As Best Bitter. Draught @ Saint John. Hazy light tan. Has a light fruitiness, not much bitterness, and has a refreshing character. A little subtle, might benefit from a handpump.

Bottle, 12C. Clear golden amber with an off white head that lasts well. Earthy aroma with dusty spices, some lemon, bread. Lightish bodied but just slightly chewy. Tastes as it smells - some apricot there too - with a dry, spicy bitter finish. Maybe the spiciness is a little much. Deeply refreshing. Not exciting, just good.

From a 330ml bottle on 14/5/2013. Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a small head. Has an aroma featuring some fruity, yeasty and bready notes. The taste is a little odd - kind of earthy, with some citrus fruit, and more yeastiness. Finishes with a medium bitterness. The carbonation is medium and the palate slightly watery. Don’t quite know what to think of this. It’s a bit weird, quite interesting, yet a bit unsophisticated. Not a typical bitter.

Pours copper with a small fading head.Hoppy aroma, very spicy, herbal and earthy. Also some soft biscuity malt.Similar hoppy flavours, very English. Again there’s some malt character but it finishes very dry.Body feels watery.Hoppier than expected.
