A. Le Coq Porter has a strong taste and a rich aroma. It is a typical Baltic porter with the dominant flavour of roasted malt, but hints of black bread and caramel can also be felt. They are complemented by the nuance of dried fruit and dark chocolate in the end.

6.5% about 1 euro from the Remi supermarket. A dark brown pour, tan head with a sweet, slightly grainy, licorice? Possibly mild chocolate... The taste is sweet, nutty, milk chocolate & some vanilla. Pretty good with a creamy smooth mouthfeel. Plus you can’t beat the price.

Bottle at home, thanks to Simon for carting this one back from Estonia for me. Pours a very dark mahogony brown with a thin beige head that clears to the edge and leaves a thin film. Nose is dark fruits, toffee fudge, Mr Kipling Cherry Bakwells, almond, dark malt. Taste comprises malt, berries, dark fruit, brown sugar, almonds, plummy tones, light cocoa. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish.

Sample from bottle, CBF 2012. Dark brown colour with a small, light tanned head. Aroma with grains, malts and lots of caramel, hints of dried, dark fruits. Taste is dry and malty, with a good amount of caramel. Medium body, creamy texture - however a bit thin. Short roasted and sweet finish. Average porter, sweet for a Baltic.
