And this time it is all about the beer, and the beer is awesome! Gone are the 200+ IBUs which brought grown men to tears! Our new Nanny State is 0.5% ABV and focuses on being a great drink as opposed to a great publicity ploy. This beer is now focussed on getting all that is good about BrewDog into a practically alcohol free format. It is a West Coast inspired pale ale with a difference! The beer has 45 IBUS and is brewed with centennial, amarillo, columbus, cascade and simcoe and intensively dry-hopped with centennial and amarillo. The backbone is provided by 8 different types of speciality malts with only 87 kilos of malt used in a 20HL batch (our Punk IPA uses 450 kilos in 20HL).

Straight from the bottle. An extremely overhoppy ale,but all them IBUs still can't hide that weird NA taste that I can't really find the words for.

Clear amber/brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of malts, tropical fruits, hops. Flavour is fruits and hops, with a nice bitter aftertaste. Thin and watery. Not bad for a 0.5%.

Bottle 0,33 ltr: Clear amber coloured brew with an dry bitter taste with hints of tangy citrus fruits. The ultimate solution to make alcohol free beer delicious.

Can (Aldi, brewed in Brisbane Australia). Clear brown with a small pale beige head that's soon at the rim. 3- Promising aroma of bitter oranges, some pine and breadcrust. And it's a bit watery but it's stretching for that in the taste. Fizzy. Not sweet yet there's something that the firmish bitterness sits on. Begins to feel a little hollow after 150mls but about top of the class - and more convincingly beer-like - for this sort of thing.

Can. Dark gold with a decent white head. Aroma of honeydew melon and some tropical fruits. Taste of malts, honey, lychees, honeydew melon and grains. Low bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Thin and watery, artificial and flat. Drinkable. No more no less.
