Behind its magnificent ruby-red colour, St. Ambroise Raspberry Ale reveals its refreshing charm from the moment you encounter its bouquet and flavour. Made with fresh raspberries and choice sun-ripened hops, it gently engages your tastebuds in a delicious explosion of flavours. Its delicate fruit aromas marry perfectly with the pleasant hop character typical of all St-Ambroise ales. Brewed in Quebec, just once a year, it’s a unique summertime treat.

nice aroma of raspberry, but its also got some maltiness in there. Wow, the raspberry stick in the flavour but i can still tatse the beer. AMazing balance between both beer and fruit flvaours i can pick ou the malt and the fruit, and they mingle very well together. very well done.

355ml bottle watching 2001 A Space Odyssey on Christmas Eve 2024. Deep amber pour, darker than I was expecting, maltier than I was expecting, fruitcakey, some brown bread, rye with pleasant low-lying raspberry notes.

Draft - Raspberry jam. Cloudy reddish amber with a nice white head. Light tartness, raspberry and a light finish. Not enough of anything to make this interesting.

341 ml bottle. Pours a hazy, ruby-red colour with a small pink head. Sweet flavour of raspberry and a little malt with a slightly dry, bitter finish. Light body, syrupy texture and lively carbonation.

Évaluation no. 97 Mai 2011.

Not entirely pleasant. Texture is very syrupy. Pours red without much head or lacing. Sweet finish. Raspberry very present, even abusive. Bottle from my buddy’s fridge at the end of the night.

(bottle) hazy red colour with a tall pink head; aromas of raspberry, wheat; refreshing raspberry flavour, just the right balance of sweet/sour/bitter notes; very good

Bottle acquired a long time ago (best before February 28, 2013). Pours with a hazed, deep blood hued body with a foamy, slightly pink tinted head. Excellent lace and retention. Aromas are of jammy raspberry, really grainy, bready, wheat like, some grassy hop notes. Mostly toasted and fruity flavors. A touch of artificial sweetener like aroma (I’m not saying that was used, but it smells slightly sweet and chemically). Flavors are quite a bit more bitter than I was expecting. Some floral honey notes, toasty baked bread and of course raspberries. Decently dry and balanced and to be honest, not nearly as sweet or otherwise bad as I was expecting. Medium to fuller, slightly creamy carbonation. Decent body, a bit tannic. Overall bitter with a neutral finish.
