By using wheat, oats, and rye, besides barley malt, we tried to thicken up the body of this light, dry saison late and dry hopped with Saaz and East Kent Golding hops.

Short-lived white head over coldhazed golden beer, medium carbonation visually. Pale malts, spices, fertilizer, citrus or lemonthyme. Fresh-citrussy flavour on a sweeter malt background. Some wheat acidity, it seems. Light body, spritzy, refreshing. Much better than the sum of its parts. And for once, a beer that can carry the moniker "saison" with reason.

[9/23/15] Draught at Arendsnest in Amsterdam. Cloudy pale yellow. Aroma is spicy, earthy, yeast, a bit fruity. Bitterish flavor, yeasty, spicy, earthy. Quite watery.

Bottle from Sterk. Pours hazy, lemony pale gold with a transient head. Aroma is very light - seems fruity/earthy. Med minus body. Flavor is fruity earthy. Maybe a touch of peppery spice. Lots of maybes here, I’d call it well towards dry. But the flavor is very mild, and ... Anyway it drinks almost like water - tastes better, but flavor strength is towards water rather than IS! Probably nails the style tho.

On tap at Arends Nest Amsterdam. Cloudy gold lasting white head. Saison yeast aroma. Some lemon some funk some hop on the finish. A straight up and down saison. Simple but refreshing and pleasing. Good.

Draft sample @ Oersoep Bierfest 2015, Nijmegen. Dorée trouble, col fin blanc. Arôme offre un bouquet moyen citronné, rétro prenant de levure, agrumes en rétro avec une note verte houblonné et ce petit côté belge. Le tout garde un profil malté épais de froment, citronné plaisant avec un rétro terreux arrivant sur la fin. Amer sur la fin avec une effervescence moyenne voire haute. La levure reste bien là avec ce côté belge de saison.

KRS 240115. Golden-yellow colour with an off-white head. Aroma is yeast, citrus, malt. Flavour is yeast, citrus, malt, coriander, grass, spices, grain. Medium body. OK beer.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is yeast, zesty citrus, mineral. The flavour is light acid sour, with a mineral aspirin, acid citrus palate. Light bodied with lively carbonation.
