On tap at Burleigh Brewing, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out bitter English hops upfront, with a thin biscuity malt backbone. Flavour is dry, with astringent English hops and metallic notes. Not very pleasant nor easy drinking.

330ml into pint glass. Malty liquorice chocolate nose. Deep amber with creamy white head. Quite fizzy for a bitter. Beautiful unusual hop character, creamy, bitter, liquorice again. Really nice.

Rusty amber in color. Sweet malt, light hop bitterness, a bit earthy. Medium bitterness overall with a solid malt backbone. Decent.

Pours coppery brown with a small quickly fading head.Nose shows caramel, faint chocolate and nutty malt along with some soft spicy and earthy hops underneath.Flavours are focussed on the aforementioned malty characters. Finishes quite sweet with a soft bitterness.Could use more carbonation.

From a 650ml bottle on 23/12/2010. Has a very mild malty aroma. This is disappointingly bland when it comes to flavour. Just a dash of caramel malt up front and the gentlest of hops at the end. For a bitter, itβs not particularly bitter. The palate is relatively thin and watery. An average beer, but at least the packaging is good.

Bottle. Clear coppery gold with good off-white head. Caramel toffee aroma with floral hops and some maltiness. Light body and carbonation. Starts with a pleasant sweetness - caramel, roasted malt - and gives way to fruity and nutty taste with a pleasant bitter finish. An excellent, well balanced beer.

Elaborate 650ml bottle. Copper, small light beige head that disappears fast. Fruity and chocolatey nose with some flowery hops evident. Actually undercarbonated. Quite malty and somewhat sweet, then a good somewhat bitter finish. I suspect some of the character of this beer was filtered away.
