Clear golden pour with a small white head; aromas of malt, hints of fruit and sweets. OK overall, taste could be a tad stronger.

(Bottle) Pours clear yellow with tiny white head. Aroma of grain with notes of damp straw and biscuit. Light bodied with good carbonation. There’s some notes of candy sweetness and some somewhat fruity tartness, and some slightly metallic bitterness towards the end. It’s drinkable but wouldn’t bother with a second one.

From a 330ml bottle on 28/12/2018 (a Christmas gift from Desmond, with thanks). Labelled 'Amazing Wakachangi Lager' with the byline 'Quite nice beer!'. Pours an ultra clear light golden with a small head. The nose is ultra mild grain and some grass. In the mouth, there's some indistinct sweet malt and corn, finished off by a very gentle bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. I guess it could be worse, but not much worse. 'Quite nice' is a real stretch. On the bright side, it has an amusing label where a small creature (possibly a piglet or a wombat) is attacking a man holding a spatula.

'Bottle. Pale gold with a white head. Aroma of crackers, paper, weeds. Light bodied getting on for watery, but it''s the sort of beer that that''s a mercy. Really light stale malt and boiled lollies with a more prominent weedy bitter finish. This is a throwback to mid 80s NZ beer but it''s not quite bottom of the chilly bin'

330ml bottle into shaker. Malty vinegar nose, bit of skunk. Crystal clear pale amber beer with fluffy head and the occasional bubble. Some patchy lacing. Flat and Insipid with a tinny finish. Ordinary, very ordinary.
