Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Clapton Craft. Pours clear brown with a fizzy tan head that fades out quickly. Rather enjoyable stuff, has some simple chocolate base, a bit of cinnamon, nips of smokey chilli, low bitterness, touches of brown sugar. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, a bit more restrained chilli, milk chocolate, ancho, faint coffee. Easy-drinking gear.

Can.Pours thinnish deep brown with frothy head. Chocolate and cardamom nose. Cinnamon is up front in mouth, as is choc with a little licorice. Spiciness is much less than I expected and none of the flavours linger sufficiently to make this the fiesta I was all dress up for. Now my sombrero and big moustache just look naff.

(Keg at Pien Shop & Bar, 20190312) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized nearly white. Aroma had dark chocolate, burnt malts and cocoa powder. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, dark chocolate and bitterness. A surprisingly good burnt brew with with adjuncts.

This is a perfectly decent spicy porter but it's a little tame. No major hits of anything really which is a bit odd. Some spice, malt, chocolate, etc. but nothing dominant. Pleasant

Can. Almost black with a small but stable light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, raisins, brighter peppery overtones, cardamon. Smells like the additions will be too prominent, but not at all - a sweet bread and chocolate are set off by subtler spice notes than suggested by the aroma. Low bitterness. Solid beer.
