Tap @ Moeder Lambic Fontaines, Brussels. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Good grassy hops and a whisper of citrus. Some strawberries and a whisper of crackers. Soft and juicy. Smooth and very dry bitter finish.

Finishing my night at Moeder Lambic Fontainas with their west coast IPA L’Amer de Moeder’s 6% A bright gold with a thick white head the nose is green spearmint and pine. Medium bodied with a raspy dry mouthfeel. The taste is sweet green minty gum, light malts and a dry floral finish. Alright but nowhere near a top quality west coast IPA but it’ll do the trick. Chouffe Houblon’s much nicer though. Not so complex but it grew on me.

From tap. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is fruity and mild peachy. Crisp citrusy and smooth fruity. Bitter and solid hoppy finish. Lingering smooth fruity finish.

Draught at Moeder SG. It pours hazy gold with a decent white head. The soft, doughy, juicy, apricot, peach, Five Alive fruit juice, candy and fruit salad sweets. The taste is crisp, bitter, grassy, minerals, light pepper, grassy, orange rind, straw, apricot, light soap, floral and light alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Fresh, bitter, fruity and quaffable.

Clear yellow with a soapy head. Light hoppy aroma. Very crisp and fresh with a light bitterness. Very easy to drink.

Clear pale blond beer, big creamy white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, malty, fruity, some banana, peaches, bit off, sulphur. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, bit grassy, some citrus, fruity touch, pretty bitter, hoppy. Aftertaste: grassy, malty touch, very bitter, some citrus, grassy.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainis, Brussels, Saturday 21st March 2015 Yolky yellow unclear with a sticky white head. Really quite pithy and citrussy, nice bitter bite. Smooth in the mouth, dry and bitter challenging at times as there is very little sweetness. Good beer. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.6

On tap at Moeder Lambic St Gilois. Orange color with small white head. Light bitter Belgian Ale. Not too intense. Sweet, yeasty, grainy. Taste is grainy and dry. ok.
