Svart farge med tynt brunt skum. Lukter kaffe,røkt og sjokolade. Smaker salt lakris, kaffe. Ganske mild. Salt og mildt bitter avslutning.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pitch black with creamy, beige head. Lightly roasted aroma with dark chocolate, dark berries, maybe dates. Vanilla taste with light roast, slightly bitter coffee, dark chocolate, a little bit of chalk. Medium sweet. Slightly bitter finish. Overall a little bit thin flavor.

Bottle:Very deep amber coloured, still with a ruby sheen, quite stable loose tanned head; sweet toasted malt, dried fruits, molasses and tobacco in the nose; quite solid sweet flavour with a decent bitterness, nearly full bodied and a bit sticky; sweet vinous-coffeeish finish. Too sweet…

500 ml bottle, bought several months ago at AmmersinO, Vienna.
Black body, with a big, creamy, lacing, light beige head.
Aroma of smooth coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dried fruits, some liquorice.
Tastes of coffee, chocolate, caramel, liquorice, some ash, dark and dried fruits.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes smooth, roasty, a bit dry, with coffee, sweet malts, some sour fruits.
Tasty. Straight, strong, but also quite smooth. Great balance between sweet, roasty-bitter and subtly smokey. Overall not as extraordinary as other Imperial Stouts, but a great, quaffable example nonetheless.
