Un goût subtil de chicon dont l’amertume discrète est révélée en arrière bouche juste après l’amertume du houblon.

33cl bottle from Carrefour Market Cours St. Michel in Brussels. F: big, off-white, good retention. C: deep gold, hazy. A: malty, bit herbal, spicy, orange, bit yeasty. T: medium malty base, orange, herbal, spicy, dry long lasting bitterness, banana, bit higher carbonation, ok nothing wrong with this.

Explosion of just off-white head over a little bit of muddy yellow beer. Spicy, malty, bit cardboard in the nose. Bitter, bit sweet malts, partly coloured, but dominated by the bitterness - which, I must say, is not necessarily chicory/endives. Pretty creamy feel, slick, well-carbonated. Nothing wrong, nothing special. Why the Belgian endives if one can't taste them? Thanks to Stef!

Bouteille 33cl durant le festival Folkissimo 2019, Gd Palce de Bxl. Couleur dorée pâle sur léger toruble, col crémeux blanc-cassé. BB 12/03/2021.

28 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, 77ships & tderoeck! Hazy ochre, lasting, unstable, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of ‘witloof’, banana, apricot, vegetable oil, white bread, yeast, grain, wort. Taste is light fruity sweet, notes of apple, pear & some estery banana next to ‘witloof’ & vegetable oil, a bit yeasty, grainy bitter & a sourish touch, dryish & very faintly grassy hoppy in the finish, lingering yeast & ‘earthy’ witloof. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Vegetables in beer: not my thing.

28/IV/19 - sample @ Zythos Bierfestival 2019 (Leuven), BB: n/a - (2019-608) Thanks to nathanvc, 77ships & Anke for sharing today's beers!
Rather cloudy orange to beige beer, big creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: yeasty, slightly fruity, some banana, malty, bit herbal. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very bitter, hard to say if it's from the hops or the Belgian endives (or both, of course). Little malty, grains, sourish touch. Aftertaste: dry and bitter finish, herbal notes.
