Keg at the brewery Rotterdam. A mostly clear reddy amber coloured pour with a sticky off white head. Aroma is oak, tangy fruit, bark, some funk. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, layered malts, raisin loaf. Tangy grape noted, some piney hop, hops are a lot more subdued than the base. Chewy malts. Palate is semi sweet tangy, chewy, moderate carbonation.

Draft @ BBP Wanderlust festival 2019, shared with RB Belgian team. Cuivre, col fin beige, finement huileux et doré au verre. Arôme au nez marqué par le Bourbon - fines notes de pommes candi, barrique, malt cara pâle, ambre. Fruits secs et noirs en rétro. Le tout sublimé par les effluves de BA. Palais garde une bonne approche de Bourbon - note vanille, malté cara pâle, pomme caramélisée, toffee - amertume fine sur la fin.

Sample @ 6TH WANDERLUST CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL (1st day) shared with tderoeck and sebletitje. F: medium, tan, not long lasting. C: brown, hazy. A: malty, caramel, chocolate touch, mellow cherries, bit vinous. T: rich malty base, toffee, sweet fruity, woody tannins, cherries, dry on the palate, soft carbonation, nice one, enjoyed.

Draught @ the brewpub Aroma is quite mild with caramel. Flavour has strong bourbon tones, alcohol, vanilla, gluey tones and caramel. Out of balance and too gluey. Drinkability is not that great.

Clear dark amber beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: earthy, lots of tobacco, spicy, dry, sugary touch, some caramel, weird, smells like a quadrupel. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of alcohol, sugary, oxidized, bitter finish. Not sure what to make of this.

Bottle. Dark amber pour. Aroma of oak, raisin, booze, caramel, dates and bourbon. Taste has somewhat sharp bourbon booze, bitter raisin, grapefruit hops, caramel, dates, oak and a really boozy bitter finish. The beer still has a bitter hoppy punch, which in combination with the strong booze makes for a feisty drink.

Almost clear amber beer, short lived pale tan head. Quite a light palate for the style, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a little creamy caramel. Nice fruity bourbon barrel. Modest spice. Light finish. That's about it then, simple bu quite effective.
