Bottle. Slightly cloudy orange/amber with an ok white head. Aroma of oranges, lemons, malts and coriander. Taste follows aroma plus grains, orange marmelade and zest. Slightly spicy. Moderate bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Basically ok but also kind of disappointing. Underkill.

On tap at the brewery. Hazy orange with medium white head. Malty, caramel, sweet. Medium carbonation and body. Not really a Tripel, but still somewhat drinkable

The tripel in this Charleroi city brewery's assortment, spiced with curaçao, coriander and thyme. Medium thick, cobweb-lacing, snow white, slowly breaking head on an initially crystal clear pale orange golden beer with lively sparkling, turning lightly misty with sediment. Aroma of old bread, coriander seed indeed, vegetable soup, thyme clearly present, old dried orange peel (the curaçao), unsugared chewing gum, hints of mandarin, fried bell pepper, 'jenever' and garden weeds. Sweet onset, banana peel and peach impressions, medium carbonated; slick white-bready maltiness 'diluted' with white candi syrup as is common in this kind of Belgian strong ales, hints of toasted peanuts and bubblegum at the sides, developing pronounced coriander seed spiciness in the finish, propelled forward by the thyme and the curaçao - which both remain secondary to the coriander. Ends a tad wry, possibly due to the thyme but also from gin-like alcohol; a simple, gentle, leafy hop bitterness tries to tie everything together but the ending is rather unsatisfactory and feels a bit 'cheap', as if this were brewed by a much larger macrobrewery. Unnecessary at best.

33cl bottle (BBF: 05/08/2021) with no paper label letters directly on the bottle and 31 IBU from Drink Factory in Mons. F: medium, egg-white, average retention. C: dark amber, hazy. A: malty, mellow fruity, peach, honey, bready, bit spicy. T: full malty base, sweet fruity, banana, peach, caramel, honey, floral, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, nice balanced, enjoyed. 7/3/8/3/14 33cl bottle with paper label on the bottle and 40 IBU from Drink Factory in Mons. F: thin, white, quick gone. C: gold, clear. A: malty, vaguely fruity, bit caramel. T: medium malty base, vaguely fruity, caramel, bit toast, bready, spicy touch, soft carbonation, this is Belgian ale presented as tripel quite strange for me, as Belgian ale not bad with nice bitterness but why such mess with labels and bottles.

Bottle, thanks poech! Murky darker tan body, white head. Big, heavy flowery aroma, some bergamot, earthy notes. Soft taste, smooth, leanly citric, creamy, chamomile, sweetish, pleasant. Okay beer.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 04/07/2020.
