An all-Italian interpretation of traditional German Rauch beer, in which smoked notes are absolute protagonists both in the nose and in the mouth. However, in this Rauch there is much more: the nose has malty hints of dried fruit, caramel and honey, which play with the smoky note creating a perfect balance. In the mouth, smoke is even more present, with woody notes and very pleasant toffee to enhance the main aroma.

33cl bottle from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours hazy brown with limited white foam. Aroma is smoked, though not that great. Body is fairly dense, with moderate carbonation. Taste is moderate in sweetness, with low bitterness and of course a smoky feeling. Finish is not long, but decent.

Draft @ Be.Re., Roma. Ambrée, col épais crémeux tenace blanc. Arôme est légèrement fumé ponctué par de fines effluves de caramel qui revient sur le devant. La balance reste correcte avec un houblonné noble subtil. Palais est malté léger, touche de fumé qui est plaisante, le tout est accompagné par un effet amer modéré de houblons nobles - citronné et touche verte. Effervescence est sur moyen-haute qui accentue l'effet houblon et citronné.

On tap @Queen Makeda Grand Pub (Rome). Pours amber with a medium and persistent off-white head. Aroma is medium malty with a nice smoked notes, provola cheese and speck, light metallic note. Flavour is medium sweet malty, well balanced. Medium body, medium to light carbonation. Nice one.

On tap at EurHop #4, Rome-Italy. Amber clear, off-white little head with retention. Nose: smoked and aged provola cheese, pinch of leather. Mouth: far too watery, a bit monotonous. Just ok ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild rauchiger, süßlich herber Antrunk. Leicht würzig, minimal bitter, spritzig. Süffig, nett. 10/8/9/9//9

Tap @Bir&Fud, Roma. Clear brown, small offwhite head. Smokey, wet wood aroma. Light smokey flavour, malt and some hoppy notes. Rather light but quite drinkable.

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como
Amber color, hazy. Nice Rauch aroma, the mouthfeel is lean, rather dry; it has some flavor of caramel and smoke, and correct bitterness.
Clean, well made, pleasant.
