[as Birra del Borgo Lost Barrel] Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di frutta passita, ciliegia, orzo tostato e affumicato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera molto elevata ed elegante e la maniera in cui permane è considerevole e lunga. Il cappello di schiuma è inesistente. Il colore è come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è strutturato pesante. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra impegnativa. Al gusto vengono donati toni di acetico, agrumi, bruciato, cenere, chiodi di garofano, ciliegia, etilico, frutta secca, legno, miele e prugna.

330 ml bottle, vintage 2014, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10%. Brewed with 7% balsamic vinegar. Black colour, no head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, chocolate and balsamic vinegar. Hardly any carbonation. Terribly sweet and sour flavour, the balsamic vinegar overshadows all other qualities this lifeless beer otherwise might have. I feel like an idiot, having paid good money for this crap. Most of it went down the drain.

Svart. Forsvinnende lite skum. Aroma av syrlig sjokolade. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken skarp. Mye eddik men lakris & sjokolade merkes også. Mer spesiell enn god.

Lukt: Kaffe, lakris, sjokolade, vanlije, syrlige kirsebær. Utseende: Sort. Skum/kullsyre: Tynt skum. Smak: Kirsebær, vanilje, søtlig avslutning. Hvor: Minitasting hos Bryne. Medium: Flaske@330ml, ABV@10%, Når@19.10.2018.

This might not be rateable so if an admin deletes this its OK. Free sample at L´osteria Del Borgo Rome. Experimental brew aged in Balsamico barrels. Creamy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Very sour. balsamico very present. Moderate bitter flavor. Very sour notes. More like a sout/red than impy stout. Long nnice complex finish. Creamy palate. Nice treat.

Sample @Osteria del Borgo in Rome-Italy. Dark grey pour going black ink, no foam. Nose of aceto balsamico, dried fruit mixed to a souring vinous overall. Mouth: it looks like an English Barley Wine, dusty hints with balsamico and tannins. Lovely

Bottle sample @ Osteria Del Borgo, Roma. Brune trouble, fin col beige laissant un léger filament doré au verre. Arôme offre un bouquet plaisant mêlant à la fois les effluves délicates de vinaigre balsamique et les notes de malt grillés, chocolaté et caramel, le tout sur un accompagnement de fruits noirs voire sur un rappel d'effluves de fruits confits. Palais est balsamique mais sans tomber sur le surfait voire le lactique trop souvent trouvé sur les IRS US. Raisin maturé, apparemment la bière est reste 4 ans en cask de vinaigre balsamique. Dimension accrue sur ce stout impérial. Retrouve un effet aussi proche du soja, un peu liquoreux et un effet de fin de bouche de fruits noirs macérés.
