3 Fonteinen “Intens Rood” (Intense Red) is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on lambic for at least six months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic, and is then blended again with more lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 450 grams of fruit per liter. The kriek lambic ferments in the bottle for at least another six months and develops into an intense wine-like fruit lambic. This bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added. Traditional Lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley!

Season 18|19 - Blend No. 118 bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep ruby red with a pink foam that lingers. Lots of tart cherry and sweet cherry aromas on the nose with almond, cherry stone and funk as it warms. Palate is similar, with tart cherry fruit and skin dryness present on the palate. Finishes dry with lingering cherry stone, barnyard, hay and musty funk. Very nice.

Bottle shared. Bit hazy very deep burgundy red. Massive cherries, soft funk, light lactic lemon, almonds. Solid sour, light sweet. It's good, but I prefer their unfruited beers.

No pop, pours deep dark red, tiny bit of carbonation. Smells loads of sweet, juicy cherries, some sourness, light funk and wood. Heavy sour but not sharp. Deep, intense cherry flavour, amazing jammyness, surprisingly dry. Awesome. Happy birthday Armand!

375ml bottle, online from the source. Season 18/19, Blend 83. Pours opaque dark cherry red with an off white head. Aroma: sour cherries, oak, hay, funk. Taste: dry, quite heavily acetic, sharp sour cherries, light sweet cherries, light vinous. Medium body with low carbonation. I'm finding massive variances in the levels of acidity in 3F fruited beers right now. Never know what to expect!
