Draught@SOPP Helsinki 2016. Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some wooden notes and mild acidic notes. Flavour is citrus, some fruity, nectary and toffeeish notes.

330 ml bottle. Dark brown body with a small, dense, beige head. Aroma of dark malt, coffee and some fruit. Flavor is sweet, light roasted dark malt, liquorice, hint of vanilla, some coffee and moderate in bitterness. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Don’t see anything here that reminds me of a Saison, but anyway quite nice beer, especially the aroma.

Black with a light brown head - aroam of dark malt, dark fruits and some coffee - Dark malt body with fruity flavours with some coffee flavours in the back - Fruity coffe flavours with hints of bitterness goes into the finish - This was good

Draft @ Barborteur Beerdays #1, 14.5.2016. Brune foncée, col fin blanc-cassé. Arôme au nez mettant bien en avant un côté levure ester sur une pointe de bananes, rétro malté, grillé avec petit sucre résiduel en rétro. Palais est agréable mettant en avant un côté belge surtout dans l’usage de la levure, ester, léger malté grillé avec une petite note de chaleur. Houblonné plutôt noble arrivant en amérisant sur la fin de bouche et conférant une pointe citronnée et fleurie mais restant discret par rapport au malt.

0.33l bottle from lot 0616. Quite a dark one this. Almost char-black in the glass and it has a nice medium sized slowly fading khaki-like head that's clinging nicely to the sides of the glass. It sure smells quite spiced. A bit undefined just exactly what it is, but definitely spiced. Also a little coffee roastiness in the blend. It smells really different this, and I'm kinda growing to like it more and more. It tastes decent also, a rad sweet perhaps. In the mouth it's nice and really creamy oily, almost smooth on the carbonation. I get tones of bitter chocolate, cloves, orange zest and a good dry yeasty tail. Kinda mineralish perhaps, but nothing too disturbing really. Interesting and quite different. 19.03.2016

Flaske fra polets nettbutikk, hjemme: brunsvart med beige skum som oppfører seg eksemplarisk helt til bunns. Saison er en av mine desiderte favorittstilarter (både å drikke og brygge), og denne er meget velsmakende og samtidig litt annerledes. Kompleks krydderaroma og -smak over en god base av mørk sjokolade og kaffe. Lurer virkelig på hvilken gjær de har brukt (den ble liggende veloppdragent helt i bunnen av flasken mens jeg skjenket de siste dråpene i glasset), skulle gjerne prøvd denne selv. Tørr avsluting bidrar også til at den er altfor lett å helle innenfor snippen.
