Creamy off white head left a spotty cover on an amber coloured body. Fruity & malt aroma. Medium bodied, soft with a sharp back. Pine, resinous, bitter citrus & pithy tastes with a big hoppy finish. Class!

canned. Clear copper pour with a medium white head. Aroma is mild with grains, earth, straw and caramel. Taste is bitter-sweet with sticky caramel, sticks and twigs. The malt backbone is tried and true producing a decent palate. Finishes bittersweet. Overall: much of this score is for sentimental reasons. I first tried tis back in say 2007 and I loved it then, it blew me away. Each and every time I have revisited it since then it has held up well--Like SNPA. And like SNPA there will always be a place for this beer at my table.

355ml can. Pours intense red amber, with fine whitish foam. Aroma is hoppy, piney. Body is average, with low carbonation. Taste is medium bitter, with a clear malty sweetness base. Final is a little thin and short.

Pours bronzed amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma of pine, licorice. Taste has a nice blend of malts, sweet like a pilsener, lots of hops, nice bite. Palate has mild resin, lots of pine, some citrus. Light but packed with hops. Good.

Copper color, tan head, and citrus and pine aroma. Lacing. Flavor has a slightly sweet malt backbone with a bitter hop evergreen and grapefruit finish. Has enough hop bitterness to be an IPA.

Schönes Kupfer im Glas, in der Nase hopfig, im Trunk eher dunkle Noten, erdig, Wurzelholz, Karamell, trotzdem lecker.
