Moving out of KS rate-a-poolza. 12oz bottle poured into an Ommegang tulip. Not fresh but put of a fridge in a store. This beer pours a dark amber color with a medium sized head. When fresh this beer was nicely hoppy but as its aged in the fridge the hops have died down and its a dusty malt brew now. So, fresh this was nice but now not so much. Some extra points for my memory of it fresh.

Bottle. Pours a near clear amber gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma is full of bread with a bit of a buttery note with just a hint of earthy grassy hops. Flavor also has a strong bread note with a bit of butter and just a hint of earthy grassy hops.

Bottle purchased in Kansas - cloudy amber - soapy head - this is definitely one for fans of more malt-forward ipas, as a thick, sweet, doughy malt character swallows up the hop bitterness throughout - the hop flavor is there, but is more of an earthy/leafy flavor with only low amounts of the acids detectable - this almost makes this taste more like a watered down american-style barleywine than an ipa - it’s not bad, just kind of muted.

Bomber from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours dark and ruddy with a slight beige head. Aroma is caramel with lots of hop that’s not very citric or resin. Med body. Flavor is caramel with lots of hop that’s not very citric or resin. Not exactly earthy, but that’s about as close as I can come. It’s hoppy. It even burns a bit. Hebal hop? At the very end there’s a tobacco leather note. Mysterious.

Bottle listed as No.1 India Pale Ale thanks to mora2000. Pours with a mostly clear golden body and a large white head. Aroma of pine, earth, herbal hops, a bit grassy, some husky grain and raw nuts. Taste is bitter, herbal, husky and grassy. Light bubbles and a dry finish.

thanks Nelson for the share. pours golden, white head. aroma, thin hops, the malt was more present, light toasted and some orange peel. flavors, profile is definitely more malty with subdued hops, get some tangerine, simcoe hops, touch of caramel, some cardboard. Not bad, just a tad too heavy on the malts.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a nice citrus hop. Flavor is ok with again a nice hop rounded out with a earthy malt backbone. A decent and cheap beer. Also this is the best beer by this brewer by far.

22 oz bottle purchased at Royal in Kansas City, Missouri - poured into my Free State Willebecher. Pour is slight hazed orange yellow with a big three inch off white head. Head is lasting, falls with nice full lacing. Aroma is faint mineral earthiness, a very faint touch of floral citrus hop behind that. Really faint nose. Taste is lemon and orange citrus up front, dusty earth mineral in the middle, and closing out with a general metallic dirtiness. As it opens, taste is more mineral and clean, improves quite a bit. There is a decent amount of biscuit malt balancing everything together. Aftertaste is dirt. Palate is medium bodied, lower than normal carbonation, some evident alcohol heat and the dirt aftertaste.
