100% BRETT FERMENTED.
Technically, this is neither an ale nor a lager. The base recipe is for a Golden Ale, but we do the primary fermentation with 100% brettanomyces. The brett gives it some sour notes but not as much as if it had been aged with lacto and pedio. It’s rather refreshing on a warm day!

Bottle from brewery. Finally getting around to this. Pale golden pour, small airy head fades quickly. Yeast, Brett aroma, mildly sweet. Taste is tart and sweet, and velvety smooth. Perfect example of the style.

375ml bottle (thx, L.-P. B.!). Bottled on 2015-06-19. Pours a clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma is bretts, some wine barrel notes. Similar taste. Not very complex, but pleasant and refreshing.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy pale yellow. Aroma is citric, with an apple cidre touch. Body is light, with a dominant sourness, yet still in balance. Hints of vinegar. Palate continues the beauty. Very nice.

Bottle, by way of a trade. Hazy, dark straw colour. Ring and film of dense, white head. Nose has soft, sweet brett. Preserved lemon. Lemon pip. Dry grain. Some vanilla malts. Taste is lemon juice sweet, and lemon zest bitter. Clean and crisp mouthfeel. Soft and sweet brett on the finish. Very nice.
