Half pint, cask at William Wilberforce (JDW). Good lacing from a filmy layer. Deep mahogany coloured body. Mid-sweet brown malty aroma. caramel and nuts to the taste character, fruity notes towards a roasted ending. Just alright (Hull 26.11.2015).

Fra cask på William Wilberforce Hull 26 Nov 15. Mørk amber / svart. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Svakt karamellisk aroma. Smaken mørke plommer med litt metallisk preg.

Cask@Crosse Keys JDW, London (30/11/2015) - pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma and taste is sweet malty, lots of caramel and toffeish sweetness, cocoa, sweet malty finish, pretty decent Jule/winter number.

500ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing brown colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimall lacing, off-white head. Grainy, dusty, earthy aroma, hints of old mushrooms, germinating potatoes, nutshells. Taste is dry, earthy, reproducing the same (off-)flavours. Must be something wrong with this.

Bottle. Ruby with a thin head. Toffee and sour nut aroma. Flavor is toasted toffee, nut with a strange fizzy ale base. Light bitter nut finish

500ml bottle from appellation wines. Hazy chestnut brown, thin white head. Toffee aromas, some nuts, caramel. Taste has more caramel sweetness, light bitter. Bit thin, but ok.

Bottle sampled from Gouda Winterbier festival. I also think it was off. Almost no carbonation. Clear burgundy pour. Drain pour.

Bottle sampled at Gouda Winterbier festival. It must have been off given other reviews. Pours clear brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chlorine, garbage and damp with a flavour just as bad. Drain poured before analyzing any further. Truly dreadful.
