9/4/2020. Bottle sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers! Pours clear amber bronze with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is malty, nutty, fruity, toffee and a little earthy. Slightly metallic too. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Not much depth. Quite typical Christmas themed beer.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Label says 4.5% abv. Pours a clear dark mahogany colour with a very thin beige head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, toffee, dark fruits, slightly biscuity and bready. Taste is the same as the aroma but with some added roasty notes, nuts, a little spice and a slight hoppy bitterness that hits the palate. More roasted malt and a hint of cherries also on the finish. Thin to medium bodied. Ok beer but nothing more.

Cask @ The Tiddly, Ellerdine Heath. Ruby amber appearance, frothy off-white crown. Some nutty malts on the nose. Light airy palate, very soft caramel with pleasant nutty malts. Decent pintworthy amber.

Malty, slightly burnt aroma. Light beige creamy head sat on a dark brown still body. Hints of burnt malt with chocolate a sweeter back of dark sugar. Medium body, dry, slightly cloying. Decent enough.

Clear amber brown colour, good creamy beige head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Aroma toasted malts, caramel, dark fruits, plums, some treacle, liquorice. Mild taste, light heavy to medium sweet and bitter, light tones of toasted malts, toffee, raisins. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, bit earthy, light to medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation. Overall a pleasant mild brown ale, not a strong ale.
