From tap at Borefts ’15. Aroma of coffee, some Saison yeast, fruits, hint of chocolate, fruity hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Body is medium. Overall this appears moderate at first, but the beer slowly unveils a decent complexity. Enjoyable.

Draught. Brownish black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted, some caramel, mild yeast as well as some spicy and mild citrus tones. Flavour is roasted, some citrus, spices, caramel and mild earthy tones. Strange, but in a way pleasant.

Tap @ Borefts 2015. Almost black. Herbal roasty aroma and flavor. Anis, twigs, licorice and pepper. Dry with citric notes. Good.

Draft @ LCBF 2016. Pours a dark brown black color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma with yeasty hints. Slightly roasted malty spicy caramel yeasty bready flavor. Has a slightly roasted malty spicy yeasty caramel finish.

Borefts Beer Festival 7th edition day 1 25/09/2016. A reddy caramel brown coloured pour with a light tan head. Aroma is charred wood, oats, black malts, earthy, coffee; Flavour is composed of earthy black malts, coffee, bitter roast, charred wood, little soy. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carboantion, grainy. Not much saison yeast character.

Sampled from tap at the Oedipus International Beer Festival 2016. Almost black with a beige head. Sourish-fruity aroma of cherries, some chocolate, blackcurrant and some peppers. Sourish-fruity, slightly spicy taste of dark chocolate, cherries, blackcurrant and some peppers, followed by a medium long, slightly tart and a little roasty finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and a little effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Nice!

Utseende: Sort.
Skum/kullsyre: Dekkende skum.
Smak: Friske frukter, lakris, sjokoalde med en fin kirsebær avslutning.

Draught at KØ16. Vinous and very roasted aroma. Black colour. Small stable creamy tan head. The flavour is very roasted with a grainy sourness in the finish. Very roasted with a rough hop bite.

Draught @ 7th Borefts Beer Festival 2015, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Lervig Årstid Black Saison ].Clear dark brown black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, dark malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, spicy, peppery, dark malt, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150925]
