Dark mahogany beer with a tiny ring of lace - nose of caramel, cherry, raisin, toffee, some coppery/metallic character - fairly smooth, moderate carbonation, creamy mouthfeel - flavor of caramelized sugars, fruity esters, a bit of tart cherry quality - some leafy bitterness on the tail end, and well as a metallic tang and mild acidity left lingering on the tongue - some caramel and toffee on the end as well - somewhat flawed, but okay.

bottle pours orange/amber, beige head. aroma malty caramel, grassy herbal nose and yeasty. taste, malty, light smoke, fruity; raisins, caramel notes. Finish has hints of hops with a nice warming abv. Overall palate has a herbal medicinal touch with some peppery spices.

22oz bottle-pours a rich light tan head and copper with red tint color. Aroma is roasty/earthy, dark malt-cocoa/dark fruit-raisin. Taste is sweet dark fruit-raisin, dark malt-cocoa/brown sugar, secondary herbal/spice hops with some bite that offsets the sweet, some alcohol. Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this.

Bottle bonus courtesy of ditmier. Pours clear deep copper with thin off white head. The aroma has mild notes of caramel, dates and figs. The taste rises up with a bit of roast mixing with caramel and prunes. It then moves into some raisin and notes of mild muted cherries.

22 oz bottle courtesy of DA, shared with folks at the 10/18 tasting. Pour is auburn golden with a 1/2 inch white head. Aroma is pretty faint, some maltiness - caramel. Taste is slightly sweet caramel, toasted, nice grassiness. Taste is good, smooth, clean. Palate is a little slick, oily, really drinkable. Very sessionable beer. This was a nice one, thanks Derek!

Bottle. Ruby-brown beer with a dark cream colored head. Malty, toffee, light vanilla aroma. Caramel malt flavor with a little bit of earth and backing hops. Medium body - possibly a little lighter- definitely lighter than I expected. Caramel/toffee lingers with some noble hops amd brown sugar.

22oz Bottle pours out a nice mahogany topped with a sand head. Aroma of roast malt and sweetness. tast was not that great. So I let it warm up a little and then had some flaver. Tast of sweet brown sugar and a nice malt.
