Dark mahogany color, medium-sized beige head. Aroma has coffee, toasted malts and some vegetables notes. Medium-bodied. Toasted, caramelly, earthyness, vegetables. Not so clean feeling here.

Tap. Pours clear black, minimal head or lacing. Aroma is roasty, a hint smoky, touch of rubber, burned malts. Flavor is light plus sweet, roasty, no rubber here, pretty solid actually. Medium body.

At the brewhouse: pours black with a tan head. Aroma is light chocolate with some malt. Taste is the same. Of all their beers this was not too bad, but still rather unimpressive. Meh.

On tap at brewhouse. Pours a dark amber with a small frothy light beige head with sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet roasted malt and lingering dry finish. Easy to drink, a good dunkel from Crescent City.

Medium brown with no head. Kind of unattractive that way. Lightly chocolatey aroma. Kind of thin, with some chocolate notes. Very simple and not very exciting.
