A golden amber IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, a doughy malt with loads of citrussy hops, oily and pinhey. In mouth, a rather chalkey mouth with sustained British hops, not as intense as expected, but good. On tap at Great North Carolina Brewers Fest., August 28 2010.

Sample from a can at the "Beer Tasting on the Front Porch". The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops and caramel. Medium body with a piney hop character with notes of fruit and caramel malt in the background. The finish is moderately hoppy with a short bitter aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with super large foamy head with great retention and super good lacing. Aroma of slightly bitter hops with a medium caramel malt backbone. Taste is also dominated by some caramel malt with notes of medium bitter hops. Body is a bit thin but carbonation is super great with no appearance of alcohol. I thought hops were a bit shy for the style and malt backbone could have more dominant.

Courtesy of dkachur. Pours hazy deep gold with copper core and thin tan head. The aroma is mild musty sticky malts, pine hop bitterness and not much else. The taste is pine and floral hop flavors mixing with a nice malty sweetness before moving toward increasing hop bitterness and a touch of grain. Nice stuff.

courtesy of jdubfl pours orange, hazy. aroma and taste, hoppy, caramel malts present with a light mix of citrus/pine hops. Not overly boozy, but a nice warming abv sneaks up with the malts and cover the palate.

Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one at his Februmergency Tasting. Slightly hazy gold body with a minimal off-white head. Floral hop aroma with a good underlying malt base. Well balanced with a nice bitter finish.
