12oz bottle pours a dark gold with some clumpy, white head. Nose is gross, under attenuated honey, passion fruit, grapefruit juice. Flavor is flabby, honey, a little lemon-lime soda, non descript. Sweet finish.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent hazy looking orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing speckling the glass nicely.
The smell had a nice blend of sweet citrus to bittersweet sticky pine lightly dosed with sweet caramel malts.
The taste was mainly sweet but still tried to get the piney hops to make a play however, they stay subdued for the most part.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was right on par for the style and for me - just enough harshness but didn’t go overboard.
Overall, good APA worthy of having again if I could.

12 ounce bottle from Steve’s Mineral Point in Madison. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus hops. The taste is citrus hops and a caramel malt finish. Medium bodied.

Draft at the High Noon Saloon (Disappears). Mild faint bitter aroma. Translucent orange color, hard to really tell in the club lighting. Somewhat soapy and dry, with a nice pleasant hop character. Earthy and toasty, with a smooth, sweet, watery finish not unlike a British Ale. Pretty well done beer, quite sessionable but still assertive.

courtesy of abents. Pours hazy copper/orange with white head. Aroma is engulfed by a fresh hoppy nose. Comes across spicy with some mead-like sweetness and faint vinegary bitterness. Taste fruity with plenty of citrus to be felt, good floral hops with light pale caramel malts. Well balanced, overall sweet with light touch of bitterness, tingly peppery palate.

2006 bottle from the_Enemy consumed some time in June 2006.
Quite a dark bodied APA, mine almost seemed a deep chestnut-amber, medium-high clarity with some softer orange hues on the edges. Head is nearly creamy, well-retained and laces somewhat as it eventually recedes to cover.
Fully fruity hops in the nose are balanced immediately by chocolate-caramel notes, strong base malt sugars and just a rapturous perceived-body. Hops stick to the nose, with ruby red grapefruit, sweet oranges and definitely some light cherries. No clash between the darker malts and the poigant hops, whatsoever. They did a wonderful job aroma hopping or dry hopping it, because it dosent come off that bitter.
In the mouth, the beer remains well supported by sweet malts (not too sweet), light caramel, heavily toasted grains and just a light touch of coffee giving a snappy dryness on the end. The hops are overlaid well, but are a touch less fruity in the flavor. More dry and crisp with some hints of sweet grapefruit, but mostly moderate citrus, some floral bitterness and a grapefruit rind note that lingers lightly. Some light yeast nuttiness shows freshness and livliness in the beer. Carbonation is moderate, engaging enough without being burdensome. Body ranges from lightly sticky (maltwise) to crisp on the end, as the hops take over.
