Bottle: Poured a dark chalky brown with a beige color head. Aroma is sticky roasted malt with toasted barley. Taste is a mix of roasted malt, toasted barley, and some cooking chocolate. Finish is dry and malty.

courtesy of Keifdog. Pours amber, beige head. Aroma, malty / caramel and barley. Taste, sugary, malty (close to maple syrup), with a nice vanilla finish. Addition of nice dark fruits (figue). Exceptional finish, malty / chocolate. One amazing scotch ale.

22 ounce bottle from mcbackus. Thanks! Pours a bronze-brown color with a minimal head. Very malty caramel aroma with some earthy and nutty notes. Big caramel and toffee notes in the taste with an earthy character. Medium bodied.

Pours with a beige head and a ruby/brown color. Strong aroma, with something I couldn’t quite point out. I did notice brown sugar and roasted malts. Taste s sweet with a lot of roasted malts, caramel taste, and maybe a few other flavors.

Pours brown with red highlights...light brown foam....smells of malts and vanilla...tastes bland and way too heavy for the flavor, as if the body was lighter, the flavor may represent properly, but the body is thin...hmmm so to me this beer is improper.....still nice to drink, but i’ve had way better Scottish ales....so try again Otter Creek Brewing

Courtesy of DragonStout. Pours clear brown with tan head. The aroma is roasted malts, mild molasses, chocolate malts, earthiness and peat. Could have a bigger aroma. The flavor is fruity dates, caramel, prunes, earthiness and some mild peat just like in the aroma. It ends smooth and mildly roasty with a faint lingering peatiness.

Poured a deep, opaque, mahogany with a creamy slightly tan head. Smelled of peat moss, malt, brown sugar and candy. Tastes the same, sweet and smooth. Spicy finish. Good but not great.
