Another bottle that I got from Mike at Poplar Wine & Spirits as a free sample!
This is not a twist off bottle..
A nice deep amber colour with a 1 finger head of billowy foam.
The smell is kind of light with some caramel, some hops, and some roasted malt sneeking through but it was a chore to draw them out.
The taste has some caramel malt and some roastiness to it up front with just a slight hop bitterness peeking through just before and through the finish and that's fine by me as I don't expect Red/Amber Ales to be overly hoppy until they are "souped up" examples of the style.
Ok, the flavour *does* become more bitter as the session progresses but it's still at levels acceptable for the style, me thinks.
This one also has a pretty good mouthfeel, close to medium, and carbonation is medium. Head retention isn't bad as there's still a broken layer here with half the beer gone and lacing is also decent. The drinkability is good. I'd buy this agai....err...when it hits the shelves. I've tasted Reds that weren't done as well as this one..

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber with a half finger of off-white head. Very light aroma of caramel. Taste is about the same. Lightly bitter with a very light caramel taste. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, not very good. I would drink this over light beer any day but not something I would seek out.

Bottle and draft. Pours a garnet-amber with a soft, off-white head. Malty aroma with fruit notes. Sweet flavor with bready malts, ripe fruits and some caramel. Very mild bitterness, and fairly nondescript. Medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes sweet and malty with understated hops. Not bad.

Bottle at KØ10. Caramelly aroma. Clear chestnut colour. Small tan head. Thin flavour, faint caramelly note. Disappointing, even for AB.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Taste at first glance is similar to a below average Irish red ale. Pours a redish-amber with some head. Taste is toasted dark malt, corn malt (come on really) some slightly sour caramel malt and a hint of hops. Thought it would be horrible, but it is just mediocre. InBev get rid of the corn in this beer.

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and ctirusy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, cardboard, nuts, and hops, leading to a very bitter finish. The body is thin.
