Sugar and corn and aromas and E-numbers. Sweet with a mild sour touch. Sugary brown beer with red fruity notes.

Sehr bekömmliche Mischung aus süß und sauer. Malzig, cremig, leicht Kirsche, süffig, lecker.

330ml bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a tall light brown head. Aroma is sweet cherries, wood, caramel, wine notes. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, sweet cherry, wood. Sweet finish. I found it to be too sweet.

Belgisches Zuckerbier, passabel, aber für mich zu wenig Säure für ein Sour, zu viel Süsse für ein Red Ale.

Bottle at Hops, Crewe. Pours a dark reddish brown (though the light was poor) with a small cream head. Said to be a sour beer of the menu, but it isn’t really. The bottle says it’s a “red-brown beer with mixed fermentation” which is probably better. It is sweet, dark and fruity with cherries, raspberries, malts and a touch of chocolate. Very pleasant and easy to drink.
