Brewed since 1911, originally by Brouwerij Den Os in Bruges owned by the renowned Van Houtryve family. In 1957 was closed but Bourgogne des Flandres continued to be brewed a.o. by Verhaeghe. From 1985 onwards Bourgogne des Flandres was brewed at the Timmermans brewery. Since 2015 it's brewed in Bruges again, in a brand new brewery, still with Timmerman's lambic.

On tap at Cafe Cambrinus Brugge. Very dark red brown almost black. Lasting beige head. red and dark fruits sour aroma. sweetness in mouth with a finishing slight sour edge tasty. Full. Good fruit. decent. bit too sweet for me but it has some sour edges

Sugar and corn and aromas and E-numbers. Sweet with a mild sour touch. Sugary brown beer with red fruity notes.
