Sehr bekömmliche Mischung aus süß und sauer. Malzig, cremig, leicht Kirsche, süffig, lecker.

330ml bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a tall light brown head. Aroma is sweet cherries, wood, caramel, wine notes. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, sweet cherry, wood. Sweet finish. I found it to be too sweet.

Belgisches Zuckerbier, passabel, aber für mich zu wenig Säure für ein Sour, zu viel Süsse für ein Red Ale.

Bottle at Hops, Crewe. Pours a dark reddish brown (though the light was poor) with a small cream head. Said to be a sour beer of the menu, but it isn’t really. The bottle says it’s a “red-brown beer with mixed fermentation” which is probably better. It is sweet, dark and fruity with cherries, raspberries, malts and a touch of chocolate. Very pleasant and easy to drink.

Bottle. Brown color with a reddish shine, small head. Aroma is malty, sugar. Taste too, even something artificial I would say. Sweet beer, almost any tartness, no idea what it has of a flemish beer, or why they write lambic on the label...it's a strange beer, nothing too bad but also nothing special.

ruby to mahogany colour, one inch of creamy beige head; aroma of raisins, some dried plum, tannines-woody, red wine, berries and slight acetone notes; taste is surprisingly sweet with sweet berries, raisisns, some plum and deifinite red wine notes; not bad, though I miss the acetic notes a bit (especially in the taste)

Bottle from Belgian beer supermarket. I think this beer is actually incredibly smart. LIke a Duchesse de Bourgogne and a dark lager / ale / porter mixed together. Incredibly mature and drinkbale. Love it. Could go the mile with this one.
