330 ml bottle. Pours a reddish brown with little head and lots of sediment. Aromas of wet malts, brown sugar and raisins. Flavours of same. Acrid finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear reddish amber with a small, off-white head. Hardly any aroma at all, but you sense the alcohol. Rich, malty body, sweet caramellish, minerally, a little salty. The figs leaves nothing flavor or aroma wise. Some late hops. A rich, potent brew with very little character, not bad just....meh. 050417

Not overpowered with bitter hops, has the malt body to compensate for the IBUs at least. Good for a style I'm not a huge fan of, pretty well made beer. 206 advent cal.

Bottle - Dark sugar, dates and figs with sweet toffee. Deep brown with a rich beige head. Dark toffee, touch of caramelized fig and some light toasted notes. Finish is a bit bitter.

Hazy light brown. Thin head. Has a big malty aroma and taste. Touch yeasty, just a touch of alcohol. So comes across with a sticky, almost date-like sweetness, though all told not much complexity. Little bit of stewed

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber / mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lightly spicy figs upfront, toffee and toasted bread malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with tons of spicy bready toffee, figs, and caramel. Lightly spicy, medium sweet, and bready finish. Wonderfully constructed and balanced for the style. Excellent.

330ml bottle from 2016 craft beer advent calendar. Pours a hazy red-brown with lots of sediment floating around and a medium, frothy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of figs, caramel malt and alcohol. Sweet fruity flavour of figs, caramel malt and bread with a bitter, warming booze finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice.

Bottle courtesy of Pontus. Pours hazy reddish golden brown with a small frothy goldenish offwhite head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and tiny fruity with caramel, toffee, dates, figs, hay, minerals, lemon zest and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and fruity. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny oily, tiny astringent, slightly boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with caramel, toffee, bread, figs, hay, minerals and lemon zest. Needs time to mature but this is quite nice.
