“Place of the skull - named after an ancient burial ground and tunnel in Shepherdswell”. A rich, deep and broad malt base gives this stout a very long smooth finish. Hops are prominent on the nose with blackcurrant, liquorice and cedar.

Pre Borefts Tasting at ABC Beers, Den Haag. Hazy dark brown - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Traces of tangy coffee and tangy dark fruits. Light semi dry finish. Fine.

Bottle at ABC Beers Pre-Borefts Tasting, The Hague. Pours near black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, raisins, coffee and roast. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle split at the ABC Beers pre Borefts tasting, 24/09/15. Light black with a decent light beige covering. Nose is chocolate, toffee, spice, dark malts. Taste comprises roast malt, cocoa powder, red berry notes, light spice, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough stout.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2014. Black beer lasting tan head. Looks in good nick. Some chocolate some dark fruits on the aroma. Decent stout lots of chocolate. A little bit of sulphur. Good finish though plums and damson.
