Bottle at home. As "Slaapmutske Hop Collection feat. Kent Goldings". Aroma is sweetish malts, bread, ripe fruits, a bit soapy, sugary notes, mild yeast, some spicy peppery herbal, grass, mild floral, bit boozy. Flavour is medium sweet with a light to moderate bittersweet finish. Body is over medium. A bit sweet but I like how the hops bring out some grassy fruity notes.

*rating overgezet 2018* Geprobeerd als Slaapmutske Hop Collection East Kent Goldings. HEt is een helder goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een licht hoppige geur. De smaak is moutig, hoppig en wat wrang.

Bottle, sold as Hop Collection feat. Kent Goldings. Golden color with a red haze. Some herbal hops, malt and hay in the shy aroma. Malty sweetish alcoholic flavor with mango, hay, flowers, herbal hops. More hops and less alcohol please.

Bottle. Golden color, good white foam. Aroma: sweet flavor, candy, malty, esters, flowers, honey, perfumes, pear and apple, yeast. Taste: sweet, candy, pear, apple, alcohol, bitter finish.

Flaska från belgiuminabox. Mörkt gyllengul, lätt disig, högt vitt skum. Söt fruktig doft med marmelad och torkad frukt som påminner om en söt Dipa eller välhumlad bw. Snygga smaklager av söt torkad frukt och syltade apelsinskal som bärs av en rejäl kropp med söta smaker av sirap och honung och binds ihop av en måttlig med tydlig citrusskalsbeska. Snyggga smaker och bra balans. Riktigt gott.

Voilà une nouvelle fois une bière anniversaire qui n’est pas des plus passionnantes. Après la Vicaris Lustrum récemment dégustée, qui a vu le jour pour les 5 ans de la brasserie, la Slaapmutske Hop Collection EKG fut créée cette fois pour souffler les 10 bougies de Slaapmutske. Le point commun des deux est une lourdeur en bouche avec à la fois un taux d’alcool de 10 % mais une présence sucrée très importante l’étouffant. Ce qui sauve cette Slaapmutske par rapport à la Vicaris Lustrum est une amertume plus poussée conférant une fraîcheur salvatrice. Il en reste tout de même une bière peu passionnante qui en devient ennuyeuse rapidement. Côté visuel, le blond, avec un EBC à 15 est abricoté, voilé, avec une mousse blanche de 5 mm d’épaisseur. Le nez est doux sur le miel et l’abricot confit. L’attaque positionne la dominante de la bière : la douceur sur des arômes miel et beurrés accompagnés d’un alcool, fort, essayant de s’affirmer mais sans y arriver. L’amertume présente, permet à la bière de ne pas sombrer (elle aurait tout de même gagnée à être plus développée, l’EBU étant de 35). La deuxième bouche laisse se dévoiler le houblon d’une belle manière, avec la finesse et l’élégance du EKG. C’est d’ailleurs le seul instant de la dégustation où l’on peut réellement le percevoir, celui-ci n’étant pas caché par le miel et l’alcool qui sont alors moins présents. Petit moment de légèreté sur des notes plus marquées de céréales. L’arrière bouche est sur notre trio amertume/miel/alcool où ce dernier continue à être contenu par le miel. La troisième bouche s’adoucit sur le miel et les fruits confits, avant un final, moyennement long présentant une amertume qui monte légèrement en intensité, et, vous l’aurez deviné, toujours le miel et l’alcool. Tout cela manque de poésie ou/et de complexité. Finalement je préfère les joyeux non anniversaire!

Slaapmutske Hop Collection -ft, East Kent Goldings. Donkergeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is vol en krachtig, licht zoet en kruidig met iets van honing en peer. Goed bier.

Flaske 330ml på Pressklubben 24 Nov 16. Aprikosfarget. Uklar. Filmskum. God mandel- / marsipanaroma. Ettersmak av plommer. Smaken det samme. Behagelig men kanskje vel søt.

330ml bottle at Pressklubben. Hazy apricot coloured body, pearl white head blanketing the glass. Sweet aroma of marzipan and dried fruits. Prominent taste profile of almond, banana, herbal hops, and brown malts. Lingering and warming finish. Full bodied. Perfect after dinner drink (Stockholm 24.11.2016).
