A nice dark foam head, strong coffee scent, bitter chocolate and strong coffee taste. The dry finish also makes the whole deliciously easy to drink.

F: huge, tanned, good retention. C: dark, opaque. A: dark + roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa, bit coffee, bit lactose. T: roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, chocolate, bit lactic, dry on the palate, bit oily mouthfeel, full body, almost complex, low to medium carbonation, very nice, good balanced, I like it, 33cl bottle from Bierwinkel De Hopduvel in Gent.

Bottle shared with Joes and Judyvv. Opaque black color, average to medium sized beige to light brown colored head. Smell and taste malts, brown malts, iron, malt bitter. Decent to medium body and medium carbonation. Vanilla? Don’t get it. Not really a black IPA I’d say but it’s not too bad overall.

Dark-beige head over jet-black beer. Smoked, smoked ham, sweetish-salty aroma (""umami"" in aroma?), meatroast. Dry stout, with faint sweetish underbuild. Finish is a bit empty. Light body for 8% ABV, very little in the way of aftertaste. Good stout, but light MF, and empty-ish body.

Sampled @ Bierfestival Brugge 2016. Thank you for sharing! Black with a small white head. Nose is mocha, lactose, sweet sugar, candy, sugar, sweet chocolate milk, dash soy cream. Taste is sweet mix of lactose, soy cream, sugar, umami, candy sugar, sweet chocolate. Body is a dash thin, lactose, sugar. Another solid Brugs Bierinstituut beer, 4 out of 5 so far even though I thought that this one was a Sweet Stout as opposed to a BIPA.
