The Witte Zwaan is a cloudy beer with a deposit of 30% wheat malt supplemented with 2 pilsner malts. The aromas are convincingly spicy due to the use of chamomile and a German hop, namely Hallertau Perle. In addition, the yeast provides the fruity aroma of banana with a sweet touch of acacia honey to finish.

Bottle at 't Brugs Beertje Brugge. Clear gold colour thin white head. Relatively neutral aroma. A very light wheat beer. Light orange lighter wheat light spice. OK. No bad flavours just a very light Belgian wit. It's fine.

In de tuin uit een flesje. Licht troebel, geel, wit schuim.

Chamomille-flavoured witbier from Brugs Bierinstituut, at Brugs Beertje. Loose, thin, off-white (not as dense and moussy as I normally expect from the style), orange peach blonde colour, lightly hazy with vivid fizz. Aroma ruined by DMTS (burnt rubber), covering more pleasant hints of caramel, redcurrant, coriander, chamomille, dried tomato; some iron and DMS (cooked cabbage) as well. Fruity taste, pineapple, apricot, gooseberry, soft carbo, smooth caramelly maltiness, grainy and soapy edges, minerally touch, coriander with soft herbal hop bitterishness at the back; soapy wheat continues. Flavour as such was okay but the nose was a bit off-putting, unfortunately.
